6:30am | More than one hundred people were gathered at Lincoln Park on Saturday afternoon to stand in solidarity with the members of the Occupy Wall Street movement, which began more than a month ago.  As I arrived, they began to march up Pacific Avenue where, at 3rd Street, they turned East, turned South at Pine Avenue, marched South to Ocean, and turned West where they returned to the park.  I walked along with them, snapping pictures in the hope of capturing the spirit and diversity of the people in attendance.

A protester dealing with one of the harsh realities of urban living.

On the move, North on Pacific toward 3rd Street.

There was a strong police presence, but they kept their distance and did a great job of controlling traffic as the protesters crossed intersections.

The signs were as diverse as the individuals holding them.

Some were very serious, and others quite celebratory.

Looking South down Pacific, the line of protesters extended more than a block.

There didn’t seem to be a ‘leader,’ but this sign was at the front of the group.

Turning onto Pine Avenue from 3rd Street.

Spirits ran high!

Some of the signs were confusing.

Back on the North West corner of Ocean Boulevard and Pacific Avenue. Passing cars honked in support.

Thank goodness this guy was just eating an apple!
