Long Beach Transit on Sunday announced it would be suspending its bus services across the city later this evening due to expected flooding from Tropical Storm Hilary.
The agency announced that bus services will be suspended starting at 6 p.m. Sunday and will resume Monday morning at 6 a.m.
The Transit and Visitors Information Center will also close at 2 p.m. and the Customer Call Center will close at 4 p.m.
A flash flood warning has been issued across the Los Angeles region, including Long Beach.
Officials are advising people to find shelter during the height of the storm later this evening to avoid getting stuck in unsafe flood, wind, and rain conditions, and to keep the roads open for emergency response workers.
In Long Beach, parks and other recreational areas have been temporarily closed out of an abundance of caution, officials said.
