3:01pm | MAD Event Management and Long Beach Comic Con have announced that a full programming schedule has been added to the upcoming one-day Comic Expo in Long Beach.

Set for Saturday, April 23, in the Promenade Ballroom at the Long Beach Convention Center, the Long Beach Comic Expo will feature comic book artists and creators, vendors, an Artist Alley, Storm Troopers and eclectic programming.

“Having the support of the industry and being able to provide a full day of entertainment for our attendees is a big thrill for us,” said Long Beach Comic Con co-promoter Phil Lawrence. “Our guest list includes industry superstars such as Tim Bradstreet, Steve Niles, Bernie Wrightson, JT Krul, Richard Starkings, Dustin Nguyen, Dean Yeagle, and many more. 

“We’re looking forward to enjoying a unique schedule of programming full of energy and enthusiasm, which is a real treat and is new from last year,” he added. 

Highlights of the Comic Expo programming schedule include a question-and-answer session with Marv Wolfman and Neo Edmund on writing; a Podcasting 101 session with Pendant Audio; a fantasy art demonstration by Mike Dubisch; and an anime voice acting workshop with Crispin Freeman.

Additionally, Barbara Kesel will present a question-and-answer session on comic script writing; Monsterverse Comics will give a presentation titled “Classic Horror Meets Modern Comics;” and Joe Rubinstein will offer an inking workshop.
