Logan Crow

The first thing Logan Crow will tell you about himself is that he’s a lifelong film enthusiast, a claim supported by the hundreds of reviews and interviews he’s published, by his founding of the classic/ cult cinema website MondoCelluloid. com (which he calls “an enduring love letter to those struggling to keep classic films and 35mm prints from becoming a thing of the past”), and by his non-profit organization Long Beach Cinematheque, founded to help cultivate a local film scene. But take a larger view and you find that all Logan wants to do is make his community better by adding the pieces you feel are missing to the puzzle picture in which you live. “I just identified the absence of some of the things that I and so many others have enjoyed in other cities and felt compelled to bring them to Long Beach.” he says. And whether that’s Zombie Walk, midnight screenings of cult classics, or showings of silent films with live scoring, the city is richer for it.
