3:15pm | LGB2NETWORK, a Southern California networking group for LGBT professionals, announced today their line-up of events for the month of September.

LGB2NETWORK seeks to connect young LGBT professionals within the Long Beach community by promoting business contacts and relationships. Members are primarily Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender up-and-coming and affluent professionals ages 30 and older. The group meets every third Thursday evening of the month from 6pm to 8pm at a different location every month.
 
Sababa Social – Wednesday, September 7, 7:00PM
 
LGB2Network’s newest monthly event will b held at Sababa Restaurant & Lounge on the first Wednesday of each month from 7PM until close.  The venue, located at 6527 East Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, offers a warm ambiance and serves American-Mediterranean fusion cuisine.
 
LGB2Network Presents QFilms Sneak Peek and Guest Musician Matt Zarley – Thursday, September 15, 7:00PM – 10:00PM
 
The LGB2Network’s monthly mixer will feature an exclusive sneak peek at some of the films being screened at the Center Long Beach’s QFilm Festival*, and a guest appearance by critically acclaimed and openly gay singer/songwriter, Matt Zarley.

The event will take place at The Silver Fox, located at 411 Redondo Avenue in Long Beach.

Throughout the evening, trailers and special previews of the 16 films being screened at the QFilm Festival will be displayed on video screens throughout the venue, offering guests an opportunity to select the screenings they may want to attend during the weekend festival, which takes place September 16-18 at the Long Beach Art Theater (2025 East 4th Street).  More information about the QFilm Festival is available at www.centerlb.org.
 
Also appearing at the event, Broadway performer and openly gay singer/songwriter, Matt Zarley, will perform his latest single, ‘WTF.’

QFilm Festival Screening of Judas Kiss – Friday, September 16 9:15PM

LGB2Network and the Center Long Beach have partnered for a screening of Judas Kiss as part of the QFilm Festival.  The award-winning film depicts the story of a film festival critic who unwittingly becomes romantically involved with a young filmmaker whose work he must judge.  Directed by J.P. Tepnapa and written by Carlos Pedraza, the film has been praised with numerous awards, including the Rising Star Award (2011 Philadelphia Q Fest) and Best Debut Feature Award (2011 Q Cinema Festival, Ft. Worth, TX).

Play@ Maya End of Summer Pool Party – Sunday, September 18 1-6PM
 
LGB2Network’s Play@ Maya End of Summer Pool Party will be held at the newly renovated Hotel Maya located at 700 Queensway Drive in Downtown Long Beach.
 
Guests will enjoy food and drink specials throughout the day, an upbeat mix of the latest hit music, access to the Maya’s Hookah Bar (by So Cal Hookahs), prize giveaways and more.  The final Play@ Maya Pool Party of the summer will take place on Sunday, September 18 from 1-6PM.
