10:21am | Portions of both the Northbound and Southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway will be closed during nighttime hours this week, as the Orange County Transit Authority continues work on its West County Connectors project. The entire 405 Freeway will be shut down in both directions for several hours at a time.

On Wednesday and Thursday, all Northbound and Southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway will be closed from Valley View Street to Seal Beach Boulevard. Several on-ramps and off-ramps in both directions along that stretch will also be closed.

The closures will take place between 10:00pm and 5:00am every night this week until Friday evening for the East segment construction (405/22/605) and Saturday for the West segment construction (405/22). The freeway lanes will be re-striped and paved, among other things such as replacing rails.
