10:30am | Outside of Maine, the largest lobster festival in America will take place in Long Beach this weekend for the fourteenth consecutive year when the three-day event opens today with dancing, live music and lobster meat galore.
The 14th Annual Long Beach Lobster Fest will be held at Rainbow Lagoon in Shoreline Village downtown. Online tickets are only available at discounted prices until Noon today (click here for that page) and then tickets can be purchased at the event gate.
More than 14,000 people are expected to attend the eat-a-thon this weekend, and with fresh Maine lobsters being flown in daily and prepared by Bristol Farms, why not? As an added bonus, live music will provide background noise through the entire event with tributes to Jim Morrison and The Doors, The Scorpions, Motown and soul classics, Creole and a whole lot more.
But the stars of the show are the lobsters. The purchase of a Regular or Jumbo attendance ticket includes the Lobster Feast, which is comprised of a fresh steamed lobster, coleslaw, a dinner roll, watermelon, lemons and butter dipping sauce.
