Families in need of food can head to Cesar E. Chavez Park or Martin Luther King Jr. Park this week to pick up one bag per household, but first they must pre-register, according to organizers.

It’s too late to register for the giveaway today at Admiral Kidd Park, but there is still time to sign up to get free bags of food and nutrition resources on Thursday, May 14 at Cesar E. Chavez Park, 401 Golden Ave., and on Friday, May 15 at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 1950 Lemon Ave.

To pre-register and receive a scheduled time to arrive (sometime between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) click here. Only one member of the family can pick up the food bag and they must wear a face covering.

The non-vehicle distribution event is a partnership between the city of Long Beach and Food Finders.
