A shooting in the city’s Cambodia Town early Saturday morning sent a man to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Officers were sent to a local hospital at 1:09AM on Saturday, July 9, regarding a possible shooting victim, LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said in an email.

The shooting reportedly happened near the 1500 block of Anaheim Street.

The man sustained a gunshot injury to the lower extremities, she said. The wound did not appear to be life-threatening, Arrona added.

The investigation remains ongoing.
