Last Friday, a civilian vehicle collided with a Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) vehicle near Cherry Ave. and Anaheim St.

According to Marlene Arrona of the LBPD, officers responded to reports of an injury traffic collision at the intersection at around 9:15PM. Long Beach Fire Department personnel were brought onto the scene to respond to minor injuries, none of which prompted a transport to a hospital.

The preliminary investigation indicates the police vehicle was struck by the other vehicle and the investigation remains ongoing.
