Long Beach-based advertising and marketing firm Agency ETA has earned two prestigious ADDY Awards for their innovative water conservation campaigns for the Rowland Water District and the City of Redlands.

Competing against top agencies with clientele like Infiniti, Honda and Microsoft, Agency ETA received silver for their work on “The Wonderful World of Water: Adventures with Wendy & Wally” for RWD and bronze For “EduGators” for Redlands during the award ceremony hosted at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles by American Advertising Awards Thursday evening.

“The Wonderful World of Water: Adventures with Wendy & Wally” is a fully illustrated, 30-page activity book designed to educate third graders in the RWD about conserving water in a fun and engaging way while also adhering to the Common Core Standards for third-grade curriculum, according to ETA.

“EduGators” is an integrated campaign featuring an engaging 3D illustrated alligator duo educating children in Redlands about water efficiency outdoors and encouraging them to save water. The event launched during the city’s Market Night and included a scavenger hunt and activity book for kids. To build a buzz, downtown Redlands was sprinkled with ground decals featuring gator footprints that led to a large water puddle in the space where the EduGator booth would later appear. The water puddle proclaimed “See you Later Alligator.” Digital banners and a microsite were also created to promote the event.

“Agency ETA is honored to receive two ADDY Awards for our work with Rowland Water District and the City of Redlands,” said Cindy Allen, president of ETA. “The projects were extremely fun to work on and it is inspiring to know we are contributing to a critical environmental cause.”
