Garcia, Artigliere & Schadrack (GAS)—one of Long Beach’s most known firms with a specialty in elder abuse—has announced a new Senior Associate, Christopher Cummiskey.
Cummiskey, whose professional practice revolves around civil litigation, commercial litigation, personal injury, product liability and employment-related disputes, joins the firm following a post at Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP in Los Angeles.
“Not only does Christopher bring an extensive amount of hands-on litigation experience, but he switched to the plaintiff side allowing him to use the knowledge he garnered to represent victims of elder abuse,” said GAS Founding Partner Stephen M. Garcia. “We are thrilled to have him join our team.”
The move comes at a time when GAS is amidst one its largest class action suits: last month, the firm filed against Manor Health Care Services in Fountain Valley alleging wrongful death, elder abuse, as well as negligent hiring and supervision on behalf of their now-deceased client, Thomas Mac Rae.
Garcia has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer since 1998, due to his litigation success, and his firm sits on the Lawdragon 500 list.
