Four subjects entered a North Long Beach mobile home Saturday afternoon and opened fire on the residents, killing one and wounding another.
Long Beach Police responded to shooting in a mobile home park near 6400 Atlantic Avenue at about 4:30PM Saturday. According to the preliminaries, four subjects–three male and one female–entered a residence in the park and gunfire ensued. The subjects then left in a vehicle.
Upon arrival, LBPD discovered that the two wounded victims–a 24 year-old male and a 28 year-old male–had exited the residence and had multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. They were immediately transported to a hospital, where the 24 year-old was pronounced dead. The other victim, a 28-year-old Long Beach resident, is currently in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation is ongoing. The incident occured at the same mobile home park as a murder last August, in which an alleged gang member shot his live-in girlfriend in a car outside of their residence and fled. He was arrested a week later in Compton.
