Two men were hospitalized Friday night following a shooting in Long Beach’s DeForest Park neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting occurred sometime around 7:43 p.m. in the 100 block of Ellis Street, police said. When officers arrived in the area, they located a man with a gunshot wound to the lower body and another man with a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Long Beach Fire personnel transported the two men to a local hospital where they were treated for injuries that police said were non-life-threatening.

No suspect information is available as they fled the scene prior to authorities arriving, but officers located evidence, including casings.
