A residential fire in North Long Beach Sunday afternoon left two people displaced, authorities said.
The fire broke out around 1 p.m. at a two-story apartment complex on the 2600 block of 55th Way, according to Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Jack Crabtree.
When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire in the attic, Crabtree said. Firefighters also noted that a nearby transformer had failed and power lines had fallen onto the roof of the apartment building, according to Crabtree.
There were no reported injuries, Crabtree said. Though the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes, two residents were displaced, according to the LBFD.
Southern California Edison also responded to the fire, and an investigation is ongoing, according to Crabtree.
