Over the weekend, the Long Beach Yacht Club hosted the annual Mayor’s Cup, pitting the best all-female yacht racing crews against each other in Long Beach’s waters.  Just off the Belmont Pier, the large boats moved with surprising swiftness as they navigated sharp turns and battled tricky winds.  The event was part of the summer’s ongoing Sea Festival, and next weekend will see powerboat races!
