The Bixby Knolls Rock Party was under way when I arrived there this afternoon, with throngs of people enjoying the festive atmosphere. Here are a few shots of the goings on:

Kids had fun painting rocks.

There were lots of ‘rock’ themed items.

People seemed to enjoy guessing how many rocks were in the box.

Lots of people, and a bit of traffic.

The equipment for moving the rock was impressive.

Oversize Load may be an understatement.

Massive equipment left one lane on either side of the street.

I wasn’t sure if this was a joke, or serious.
