Long Beach Zombie Fest returns this October as organizers have announced plans for the three-day event in the city’s downtown.

Starting Friday, October 20 and through Sunday, October 22, fans should expect the infectious fun to take place all three days, starting at 7:00PM on Friday and Saturday and 5:30PM on Sunday.

Want to join in the costume fun but don’t have the time or money to turn into a Hollywood zombie? Worry not! Zombie Fest will be providing professional artists from Cinema Makeup School to turn you into a “flesh-eating zombie” for free! The service will be available that Friday from 5:00PM to 10:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 3:00PM to 10:00PM.

Expect live entertainment with Slaves Against the Machine tribute band on Saturday and Oingo Boingo/Danny Elfman tribute band Dead Man’s Party on Sunday.

Attendees can also check out a haunted maze with an interactive Zombie Outbreak Cage, a Zombie Apocalypse Scavenger hunt, a “Thriller” workshop that will teach people of all skill levels the infamous photography seen in Michael Jackson’s Thriller video as well as a live interactive reptile exhibit with a Fear Factor attraction.

There will also be a live-action role playing session, a Thrill the World Los Angeles Zombie Flash Mob with an impromptu performance, a horror flick in the Killer Theatre and costume and brain contests for all ages and stages of decay and more.

Tickets are $5 for Friday only, $13 for a 1-day pass either Saturday/Sunday, $18 for a 2-day pass, or $20 for a 3-day pass. The action will take place at Rainbow Lagoon Park, Shoreline Village Drive 400. For more information click here
