3:15pm | Members of the various performing ensembles from Long Beach’s Homeland Cultural Center will take the state at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday as they showcase their skills during the center’s third annual Dance Fest. 

 Attendees will be treated to performances of  West African drum and dance, ballet folklorico, Hmong and Micronesian traditional arts, hip-hop, pop-locking, belly dancing, krumping, Aztec dance and Cambodian martial arts.


The public is invited to attend the free event on Sunday, July 10, at 4 p.m. While the show is free, tickets are required and can be requested by calling Jim Ruggirello, the Cultural Program supervisor at Homeland Cultural Center, at 562-570-1655.

Parking at the center located at 300 E. Ocean Blvd, will be half-price, according to information provided by City Hall spokesman Ed Kamlan.
