British chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay will be filming episodes of his Fox show Kitchen Nightmares in Long Beach tonight. And you’re invited to dine as the cameras roll.
Ramsay and his crew will be at Nino’s Italian Restaurant in Bixby Knolls starting tonight through July 12 and are currently taking reservations for dinner patrons who are 18 years of age or older and would like to participate.
Once a local bastion for Southern Italian meals, Nino’s is in dire need of Ramsay’s tough love. Touting itself as the oldest restaurant in Long Beach, the “little bit of Italiano” has operated largely unchanged since opening in 1954 and its largely negative online reviews reflect the lackluster food currently coming out of its kitchen.
The restaurant’s phones will not be answered during filming and all reservations must go through the producers. The only way to get a table at Nino’s during this time is to email longbeachrest@gmail.com
All diners must pay for their own meals and drinks, but the opportunity to watch a world renowned chef make over a Bixby Knolls institution (and to possibly dine at its relaunch) is worth the cost of the Prego, no?
