nekter3Calling all Long Beach Nekterites! Nekter Juice Bar is celebrating its fifth year in the health business, as an advocate for a plant-based diet in the now-well-known form of cold-pressed juicy goodness, and yes, the owners want to give you something back for your support.

Steve and Alexis Schulze of Newport Beach dared to take the risk of introducing something healthy into a society of mostly unhealthy consumption. In 2010 the couple put their passion to the test and opened a neighborhood juice bar, to serve their signature Greenie Juice and offer a new view on how to live a healthier lifestyle.

In five years, the original Nekter Juice Bar in Costa Mesa has blossomed into a thriving chain in five different states: Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Nevada and California, including nine stores in Los Angeles County. One of those 54 health-based establishments is located at the Market Place in Long Beach, nestled snugly between the Trader Joe’s and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and wants to reward its new and loyal customers with a few treats in celebration of the chain’s short, yet successful, history.

Nekter fans in Long Beach who share how the juice bar has helped changed their life for the better on Instagram (tag @nekterjuicebar and use #iamnekter) will be eligible to win weekly prizes through Monday, October 26. Prizes include Nekter gift cards, merchandise and more. One very lucky sharer will receive a Grand Prize of a Nekter Juice Truck Party.

nekter1The Long Beach location will also give its patrons a chance to pay it forward to their friends, family or those less fortunate on Friday, October 9 with its Buy One Share One campaign. Customers who purchase a juice, smoothie or acai bowl will receive a voucher for a free 16 oz juice or smoothie they can use to surprise a friend, co-worker, fellow student or even a stranger “who might benefit from a little Nekter.”

“Service-oriented businesses are only as good as their most loyal local fans, and Nekter Juice Bar has some of the best,” said co-founder Steve Schulze in a statement. “Our phenomenal growth from neighborhood juice bar to a leading advocate of healthy living throughout the West was only possible because of the collective passion of our customers and associates who provide our guests with an outstanding experience.”

He added, “So it makes sense to dedicate the month of October to them and the promise of an even brighter future.”
