Chef Dean Max and the skilled culinary team of James Republic will be the one and only Long Beach restaurant representing at this year’s Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival, set to take place August 25 to 28 at dining locations throughout greater LA, the restaurant announced this week.

James Republic will be featured during the festival’s Grand Avenue Night Market – an all-encompassing tasting experience presented by 30 renowned chefs and restaurants from Southern California and beyond. To be hosted by Jet Tila and Brian Malarkey, the evening features an animated celebration of street food, with a focus on the sights, sounds, tastes and energy of international night markets.

The market is scheduled for 7:00PM to 10:00PM on Thursday, August 25, at the corner of Grand Avenue and First Street in downtown Los Angeles. Ticket information is available here.

Chef Max will be joined by Executive Chef David MacLennan, who will also attend the three upcoming food festivals James Republic has marked for the calendar; the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival this October, San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival in November and Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival in December, according to the release.

James Republic is known well for its daily changing coastal menus, using local artisanal products, organic produce, grass-fed beef and sustainable seafood, according to a release. 

James Republic is located at the Courtyard Marriott Long Beach Downtown at 500 East First Street.
