For one night only, this world premiere comedy comes from Los Angeles based Emmy-nominated writer and comic, Debbie Kasper. She’s bringing her well-known character, Zelda Bing, to The Long Beach Playhouse on Sunday May 20, at 6:00 pm — and she’s gonna tell you how to get love (and where to put it).
“Zelda’s a self-proclaimed ‘man-magnet’ who’s discovered the secret to love—and shares it with audiences at a reasonable rate,” says Kasper with a chuckle. Join her in this seminar that puts a whole new meaning to campy. A mix of stand-up, perfected parody of relationship gurus, and most of all: fun.
Kasper is a two-time Emmy nominated TV writer and performer, who has written for Roseanne and The Rosie O’Donnell Show. She’s also an internationally published humor author whose parody of John Grey’s “Mars & Venus on a Date” called “Bras and Penus on a Date,” has been translated into three languages and sold on four continents.
Catch this witty performer at her best. After all, as Bing puts it: “You wouldn’t care what others thought of you — if you knew how seldom they did.”
The Long Beach Playhouse is located at 5021 E. Anaheim Street. Tickets are currently $20.
