9:00am | Centro CHA is hosting an informational community meeting for the 2011 Long Beach Summer Night Lights program Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Martin Luther King Park located at 1950 Lemon Avenue. 

Summer Night Lights builds support to prevent violence before it occurs so that urban youth can thrive in safe environments with supportive relationships and opportunities for success. 

The community meeting is free to attend and will cover topics such as a recap of last year’s program, a panel of speakers on shared stories and testimonials from parents, youth, civic leaders and experts. The event will also provide a report on current Long Beach crime statistics and talk about next steps for making the 2011 program a success.
