10:25am | Local activist and community leader Justin Rudd, along with his non-profit Community Action Team (CAT), will have their largest Turkey Trot yet, with an estimated 6,000 trotters expected to descend on the Beach Bike Path that runs along Long Beach’s coast.

The Turkey Trot is going on its ninth year, asking local citizens to partake in a 5K/10K trot on Thanksgiving morning. All funds raised will benefit CAT, which is involved in around-the-year activities and benefits for the Long Beach community.

Registration is open until tonight for the Turkey Trot. For more information, visit www.justinrudd.com/trot.html.
